Navigate Nukta
Learn how to navigate the Nukta ISP dashboard, understand role-based access, and find information quickly.
Find your way around the dashboard
The Nukta ISP dashboard is designed for speed, clarity, and ease of use. Whether you are monitoring active customer sessions in the field, reconciling transactions at the billing desk, or configuring new routers, Nukta provides responsive navigation tailored to your team role.
Role-based navigation visibility
Navigation in Nukta is dynamic and permission-aware. Team members in your ISP account only see the navigation groups and buttons allowed by their assigned role. If a team member does not see the Finance section, it does not mean the feature was removed—it simply means their assigned role is focused on customer service or network engineering rather than financial data.
Here is how common team roles experience the navigation:
| Role | Accessible Navigation Sections | Financial Data Visible? |
|---|---|---|
| Owner / Admin | Unrestricted access to all modules, settings, billing, team management, and payouts. | Yes (Full revenue & cash flow) |
| Finance / Accounts | Packages, Payments, Invoices, Expenses, Vouchers, and Financial Analytics. | Yes (Full revenue & transactions) |
| Customer Support | Customers, Support Tickets, Leads Pipeline, Live Active Sessions, Routers, and Equipment. | No (Financial amounts hidden) |
| Technician / Network | MikroTik Routers, Equipment Inventory, Packages, Support Tickets, and Live Active Sessions. | No (Zero financial visibility) |
| Marketing | Leads Pipeline, SMS Messages, Broadcast Campaigns, and Customer Growth Analytics. | No (Customer counts only) |
The ISP dashboard sidebar layout
The main navigation sidebar on the left organizes your ISP operations into clean logical groups:
1. Dashboard
- Overview: The command center for your ISP. Displays real-time revenue cards (Today's Collections, Weekly Run Rate, Monthly Gross), online MikroTik router counts, active live customer count, and quick-action shortcuts to add customers or create packages.
2. Users
- Users → Active Users: A real-time streaming view of every customer currently connected to your Hotspot or PPPoE network. Features live upload and download speedometers, IP and MAC addresses, connection duration, and an instant Kick button to terminate a session. A live numeric counter badge in the sidebar displays your total active connections in real time.
- Users → Customers: Your complete customer directory. Filter by active, expired, or pending status; search by name, phone number, username, or IP address; and open comprehensive customer profiles to renew plans or edit devices.
- Users → Tickets: The customer support helpdesk. Track customer issues through SLA response countdowns, priority levels (Urgent, High, Medium, Low), and statuses (Open, In Progress, Resolved, Closed).
- Users → Leads: The sales pipeline for prospecting new customers. Organize potential home fiber installations through visual stages: New, Contacted, Site Survey, Proposal, Converted, or Lost.
3. Finance
- Finance → Packages: Create and manage internet plans for both Hotspots and PPPoE connections, setting bandwidth caps, validity periods, pricing, and concurrent device allowances.
- Finance → Payments: Complete transaction ledger showing online gateway payments (such as Paystack, Kopo Kopo, and mobile money), manual cash receipts, and customer account reconciliations.
- Finance → Invoices: Monthly invoices generated for post-paid or recurring home fiber clients.
- Finance → Vouchers: Generate and manage batches of prepaid hotspot vouchers with custom serial numbers for printing or distribution through local shops.
- Finance → Expenses: Record operational costs (e.g., upstream internet transit, fiber cable repairs, fuel, tower rent) to understand true operating profitability.
4. Communication
- Communication → Messages: Outbound SMS log showing sent receipts, renewal notices, and delivery statuses. Includes a single-message composer for reaching individual customers.
- Communication → Campaigns: Create and schedule broadcast SMS campaigns to filtered customer segments (such as all expired users or customers on a specific router).
5. Devices
- Devices → Mikrotiks: Your router fleet management page. Displays online/offline status, WireGuard management IPs, CPU load, memory utilization, RouterOS version, and the one-line provisioning script generator.
- Devices → Equipment: Inventory tracking for customer-premises equipment (CPEs), fiber ONUs, access points, and switches assigned to customer locations.
6. Administration & preferences
- Settings: Central workspace settings covering branding, custom domains, PPPoE automation, captive hotspot design, payment gateways, SMS gateways, and notifications.
- Team: Invite colleagues, assign role-based permissions, and restrict technicians to designated routers.
Global search and shortcuts
Press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) anywhere in the dashboard to open the quick-navigation search modal:
- Jump instantly to any customer by typing their name, phone number, username, or MAC address.
- Search directly for specific payment transaction references or receipt numbers.
- Navigate directly to settings pages, packages, or routers without clicking through multiple menus.
Theme and display preferences
In the top right corner of your dashboard topbar, you can customize your viewing experience:
- Dark Mode (Default): Optimized for low eye strain in network operations centers (NOCs) and evening work.
- Light Mode: High-contrast daylight theme for bright outdoor environments.
- Device Mode: Automatically syncs with your operating system's light/dark schedule.
Mobile and field technician responsiveness
When using the dashboard on a smartphone or tablet in the field:
- Tap the hamburger menu in the top left to open the slide-out navigation drawer.
- Active sessions, customer lookups, and router reboot tools are touch-optimized with large tap targets.
- Data tables dynamically condense to show critical identifiers (customer name, status, phone number) with a tap-to-expand details view for complete data.
Resolving permission & authorization errors
If you click a direct link or bookmark and encounter a permission denied notice:
- Confirm that you are logged into the correct ISP workspace domain (e.g.,
mtaani.nukta.one). - Verify that your team member account has been assigned the necessary module permissions by your ISP owner.
- If your account is restricted to specific routers, you will only see customers and sessions originating from those designated devices.
- Contact your ISP administrator to adjust your role assignments under Team Management.
