Introduction to Nukta
Run your entire ISP, hotspot business, and billing operations from a single, modern, unified workspace.
Welcome to Nukta
Nukta brings customer management, network access, automated payments, SMS communications, and real-time reporting into one clean, unified workspace. Designed specifically for internet service providers (ISPs), hotspot operators, and community network teams, Nukta supports real-world network workflows built around MikroTik RouterOS v7 hardware, RADIUS-backed PPPoE and Hotspot access, automated customer billing, prepaid voucher batches, and self-service customer portals.
Running an internet business should not require juggling five disconnected software systems, maintaining brittle spreadsheets, or manually tracking payments. With Nukta, the business operations and network operations share one single customer record—giving sales, support, billing, and field engineering teams one synchronized place to work.
Core operating areas
Nukta organizes ISP workflows into six focused, permission-aware workspaces:
1. Customers and support
The customer workspace manages your end-user accounts across their entire lifecycle—from the moment they connect to public Wi-Fi or sign up for home fiber:
- Unified customer profiles: One record holds the customer's active plan, expiry time, account PIN, linked device MAC addresses, static IP assignment, and billing history.
- Live active sessions: Real-time visibility into currently connected customers, streaming current download and upload speeds, uptime, and one-click disconnect tools.
- Support ticket helpdesk: Full ticketing system with response deadlines (SLAs), priority tags (Urgent, High, Medium, Low), status tracking, internal team notes, and automated customer SMS updates.
- Sales leads pipeline: Visual pipeline tracking prospective clients from initial inquiry to site survey, quotation, and one-click conversion into an active customer account without retyping details.
2. Network and access
The network workspace handles hardware communication, service policies, and live diagnostics:
- Zero-touch MikroTik provisioning: Connect any MikroTik router running RouterOS v7 in seconds using a generated copy-and-paste terminal script. No public IP or complex firewall adjustments required.
- Secure VPN tunneling: Encrypted management tunnel between your routers and Nukta's central RADIUS server.
- Hotspot and PPPoE services: Run high-density Wi-Fi hotspots and fixed home fiber PPPoE connections simultaneously on the same router or dedicated ports.
- Live health monitoring: Instant detection of router online/offline status, memory consumption, CPU load, and interface statistics.
3. Finance and billing
The finance workspace automates cash flow, payment tracking, and accounting:
- Automated online payments: Customers pay via supported payment gateways (such as Paystack, Kopo Kopo, or mobile money), and their internet access renews automatically in seconds.
- Prepaid voucher batches: Generate, export, and print branded voucher cards with custom serial numbers, validity windows, and pricing.
- Customer invoices: Automated recurring invoices for monthly PPPoE clients with payment due dates and receipt generation.
- Operational expense tracking: Log day-to-day ISP operating costs—such as upstream bandwidth transit, technician fuel, equipment purchases, and tower rent—to calculate accurate net margins.
4. Communications and notifications
Keep customers informed and improve renewal retention with automated messaging:
- SMS gateway integrations: Connect trusted regional gateways including Africa's Talking, Advanta, Twilio, or custom HTTP SMS endpoints.
- Automated notification triggers: Deliver instant payment confirmation receipts, new hotspot account credentials, upcoming plan expiry reminders, and service alerts.
- Targeted broadcast campaigns: Send customized SMS announcements to filtered customer groups, such as active clients on a specific router or customers whose plans expired this week.
5. Customer portals and captive experience
Give your brand a polished, professional customer-facing identity:
- Branded captive portals: Customized mobile-responsive login pages featuring your ISP logo, brand colors, and package purchase instructions.
- Smart TV and console pairing: Easy self-service pairing screen allowing customers to connect Smart TVs, Apple TVs, and gaming consoles without web browsers.
- Customer self-service portal: A dedicated portal where customers can check active plan duration, review data usage, download receipts, and submit support tickets.
6. Analytics and audit
Make informed business decisions backed by real-time data:
- Revenue performance: Daily, weekly, and monthly revenue totals, average revenue per user (ARPU), and top-performing packages.
- Customer growth & retention: Track new signups, churn rates, and renewal patterns over time.
- Team audit logs: Immutable audit trail recording administrative actions, package edits, team member logins, and account modifications for complete accountability.
How Nukta connects your business
Traditionally, an ISP requires a customer relationship management (CRM) tool for leads, a helpdesk for support tickets, an accounting package for invoicing, and custom RADIUS scripts for MikroTik control. When these tools are disconnected, mistakes happen—such as a customer paying online while their router remains turned off, or a technician troubleshooting a fiber line unaware that the client's bill is past due.
In Nukta, every module speaks to the same live database:
- When a customer payment arrives, Nukta matches the transaction to the customer record, updates their expiry time, and automatically restores their internet access in seconds.
- When a customer calls support, your team sees their signal quality, active session uptime, payment history, and past tickets on a single screen.
- When a lead is won, one click converts their survey details into a live customer record ready for router binding.
Before you begin
To get the most out of Nukta, prepare the following items:
- An active Nukta ISP account: Sign up at nukta.one/signup to create your ISP workspace.
- A compatible MikroTik router: Any router running RouterOS v7 (such as hEX, hAP ac2/ac3, hAP ax2/ax3, RB3011, RB4011, RB5009, or Cloud Core Routers) with active internet access.
- Payment credentials (optional for initial setup): If you plan to accept automated payments immediately, have your gateway credentials (such as Paystack, Kopo Kopo, or mobile money) ready. You can also start with manual cash collections and prepaid voucher codes.
Never share your administrator password, router credentials, WireGuard keys, or payment gateway API secrets in support tickets or chat screenshots. Always use the secure masked credential inputs inside your Nukta dashboard.
